Eye Witnesses of Londiani Accident that Killed 9 Share Chilling Accounts: "Lorry Ilikuja na Nguvu"

A devastating accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon along the Londiani-Muhoroni Road in the Pangala area of Kisumu Ndogo, claiming the lives of at least 10 people and leaving three others critically injured.

According to eyewitnesses, the tragedy unfolded when the driver of a trailer heading toward Londiani lost control, causing the vehicle to swerve into the opposite lane and collide head-on with an oncoming matatu bound for Kisumu.

What did Londiani accident eyewitnesses say? 

Eyewitnesses of the tragic accident disclosed chilling details of how the accident occurred on that ill-fated day. The people at the scene, visibly shaken by the aftermath, described the accident as particularly gruesome.
The three survivors, including a child and two adults, suffered serious injuries. Although the driver of the trailer survived the crash, he fled the scene shortly afterward.

What caused the accident? 

According to a police report reviewed by TUKO.co.ke, a Mercedes Benz truck driver lost control, veered off his lane, and collided with an oncoming matatu heading toward Kisumu.

A woman named Joyce Amolo reported seeing the 14-seater matatu coming from the Muhoroni direction. She added that she heard the lorry approaching with great speed and force. Moments later, she claimed she saw the lorry slam into the matatu, crushing it.

 "I heard the lorry approach vigorously. Then I heard the matatu driver complain as to why the lorry driver was attempting to take their lives," Amolo said
